Pellet stoves are becoming an attractive choice for some homeowners because it is more convenient to use as compared to traditional wood stoves. There are three types of pellet stoves; these are wood pellet stoves, corn pellet stoves and grass pellet stoves.
Wood pellet stoves use pellets 100% out of sawdust that has capacity to burn in an environment-friendly way. There are two main types of wood pellet stoves, the freestanding wood pellet stoves and inserts wood pellet stoves. Freestanding wood pellet stoves are not attached to any wall and require electricity to generate heat. This type can also be moved from one room to another since it requires minimal installation. The inserts wood pellet stoves, on the other hand, are directly inserted to existing fireplaces. Though the installation process may sound simple, there are several complications so it is very important that a skilled person will do the job.
Corn pellet stoves are made since resources for wood quickly diminishing. The fuel for this type of pellet stoves is also cheaper compared to wood pellet stoves. However, the main disadvantage from corn pellet stoves is that they require more amount of electricity usage.
The last type of pellet stoves is the grass pellet stoves. However, there are no specially designed grass pellet stoves as of now that can handle the ashes that are left behind. Because of this, most people are still purchasing wood pellet stoves for their household.
